Back in 1997, Chandigarh lacked the kind of reading spaces we loved in cities like Delhi. So The Browser began as a conversation on a veranda between a young couple dreaming of a place to read, linger, and belong.

What began as a bookstore soon expanded into a library shaped by its readers. The Browser became a place to Buy. Borrow. Browse. — and belong.
When Books Became Events
In the late ’90s, the city had no book fairs and no major literary events. So we started hosting our own exhibitions, bringing incredible ranges of titles and unforgettable author moments.
Evolving With the City
From Sector 35 to Sector 8 and beyond, we grew with Chandigarh — expanding shelves, spaces, and stories while keeping the same browsing spirit alive.
From Booksellers to Publishers
After years of living and breathing books, we crossed over to the other side of the bookshelf and began publishing in 2018. From military publishing under Fauji Days to poetry, children’s books, and classics — our journey kept growing.
Our Love for Children’s Books
With series like One Amazing Series and The Shih Tzu Scrolls, we continue filling shelves with stories to amuse and educate young readers.
